It was a great privilege for us to honor Mr. Cernick with a pinning ceremony and presentation of a certificate of appreciation for his bravery serving his country in WWII. Many of his family members were in attendance, making it one of the most special ceremonies we have conducted for our Veteran patients. I was able to visit Mr. Cernick again, along with one of his weekly hospice volunteer visitors, Janeen, and found him to be a delightful and engaging gentleman in conversing with us. Janeen and I and all of Mr. Cernick's care team at Family will miss him very much. Our hearts go out to Mrs. Cernick and family.
