Bill found out about my new residence,and called me, many times. Sometimes it was a time shortage, a break in a tight schedule. But we did some reconnecting while I was laid up.

During my stay in the hospital, he encouraged and challenged me. We chatted until my telephone battery drained completely.

I recalled words from a Psalter hymnal verse. Turns out to be the last verse, but it was what I remembered and spoke.  My singing was worse than his on a good day. I was deathly ill.

I know not what of good or ill may be reserved for me, of weary ways or golden days, before his face I see.But I know whom I have believed and am persuaded, that he is able, to keep that which I've commited,

unto him against that day.

Bill took his faith in Jesus seriuosly. And the verse I wrote from song is also about faith in the savig power of faith in Jesus. Iam thankful we had telephone chats.
