Secure in his salvation, he lived freely to share the love he had received with others. He was a man of character with the following traits consistently reflected by those he knew and loved: • Rog genuinely accepted others for who they are and met them at their level. He was always engaging and interested in the lives of others, working hard to make them feel known. • He had the gift of presence, at ease in a variety of circumstances with the ability to connect with a variety of people and bring a smile to their face and his own. • Humility through humor - Rog never took himself too seriously and encouraged others to do the same. He had a curiosity about others that allowed him to build trust and share a laugh easily. • Rog loved being outside and active - from running and 16-inch softball, to walking and golf, camping with his family and going to a baseball game - he enjoyed exercising the created body in God’s creation. • He appreciated the role of hard work in shaping him and serving others. Whether as a career man in consumer electronic sales or driving a school bus part-time for special needs children, he applied the gifts he was given to bless others and provide for his family. • Rog gave the gift of unwavering patience and unconditional love to his family and friends, working as a peacemaker and consistently sacrificing his own needs so others could be cared for. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the healthcare workers who supported Rog, with a particular mention of Lightways Hospice Care for their compassion and care.
