Tribute Video

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home & Crematory offers each of the families we serve the opportunity to create a custom tribute video of their loved one's life. That's because each of us is committed to helping each of the families we serve to both pay tribute to their loved one's life and preserve their memories.

The first, that of honoring their life and experiences; is the very reason behind holding a funeral or memorial service for a deceased family member. The second commitment, that of helping to safeguard memories; can be most easily accomplished with tribute videos created with today's advanced digital technology.

So, Exactly What is a Memorial Video Tribute?

A tribute video is an artful compilation of favorite family photos combined with music. Today, tribute videos provide a meaningful and very personal backdrop to the memorial or funeral service.

When your family agrees to collaborate with us on a tribute video in honor of a deceased loved one, we'll give you a DVD copy of the memorial tribute video as our gift. Not only that, we will be pleased to provide a DVD copy of your loved one's tribute video to any one of your family members or friends who wishes to have one as a treasured keepsake.

The staff of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home & Crematory spent a great deal of time selecting the software required to create tribute videos. The system we use provides us with large selections of elegant themes and licensed music; and using this software we add up to fifty (50) of your family's treasured photographs or video clips. We can also add captions or text slides if desired.

What's Involved in Making a Tribute Video?

As we mentioned earlier, this is a collaborative effort. You choose the musical track and provide us with the necessary photographs. It's our job to pull them all together into a tribute video that flows beautifully and speaks to the viewers on a deeply emotional level.

When you agree to this tribute opportunity, naturally you'll be asked to provide us with a collection of meaningful photographs. If you're like most families, you've got boxes and boxes of pictures–and sorting through them to find exactly the right ones for your loved one's tribute video may seem like a very big task. And we know that grief can leave you tired, distracted, and unfocused; which means that you just may not want to deal with the project.

But we assure you, it doesn't have to be a chore. We often suggest that you invite other people–family members or friends–to participate in the photographic selection process. And remember, commonly, a tribute video is less than five minutes in length; that means you only need approximately forty (40) to fifty (50) pictures.
