Funeral Cremation Options

We are compassionate cremation providers who guarantee the families that come to us for assistance the best in:

Considerate and respectful service. The committed funeral directors at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home & Crematory will see to all details, such as the timely filing of necessary notifications, permits and authorizations. The proper processing of this vital paperwork is needed for their approval by state and local bureaucracies and to make certain that your deceased’s cremation is not postponed.
Dignified care of your loved one and the conducting of the cremation in an efficient manner. Your departed is tended to by trained and certified crematory operators. They will treat your loved one with compassion and pay close attention to every part of the cremation process.
Safeguarding and rapid return of your loved one’s ashes. We understand that the families we serve want their loved ones’ cremains in their possession as soon as possible. We inform you as soon as the cremated remains are ready for pick up, and protect them until you are prepared to receive them.

We have three cremation options available and each one can be adjusted to suit your requirements:

1.      Traditional cremation services. These are quite similar to the traditional funeral services provided prior to a burial. Your loved one’s body is presented in a rental casket or cremation casket and serves at the focus of the ceremony. A visitation or viewing can occur before the funeral service. After these events, the departed is cremated on the premises. Once this has been completed, the ashes are handed to you and your family. You may then inter, scatter or keep the cremains in an urn in a special place in your home.
2.      Memorial ceremony after the cremation. This event can take place at any time after the cremation, at the venue of your choosing. The urn is typically displayed at the service.
3.      Direct cremation. This service excludes any ceremony or viewing. It includes the completion of all needed documentation and the transfer of the deceased’s remains directly to the crematorium from the home, hospital, nursing home or coroner’s office.
