Condolence From: Sharon Henderson
Condolence: I am deeply saddened by the death of my brother Fred. He was a wonderful brother and loved his family with all of his heart. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. We had a wonderful visit last year while I was in Chicago. We shared some great laughs. We kept in touch by phone, always ending the conversation with I love you. I especially want to thank my sister-in-law, Judy for taking such good care of him for 60 years! RIP Fred, I love you.

Condolence: A friend is someone who is always there for you, ready to help in anyway they possibly can. To me, that sums up Fred Basse. He touched everyone he met in a positive way; what a legacy to leave.

Condolence: My wife and I met Mr. Basse when we were just in high school kids back in South Holland and hung out with Fred. He was a great guy and I'm glad I got the opportunity to reconnect with the whole family recently. He was always an easy person to talk with and he always got you laughing. It was great to sit down and share a beer with him. I could tell he was proud of his family and truly loved his grandchildren. Mr. Basse was a hard working man with a strong work ethic. He always had a new story or two that he'd tell you. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

Condolence From: Bob Hartford
Condolence: Fred was a true friend. I met him at Maple Brook in 2012. He always made me laugh. We talked about his time in Florida and I told him about my time in Arizona. We talked about the good weather there and why we came back to Illinois. He loved his golf and was good at it. Already seems different at the club house without him. Sally and I are going to miss Mr Miller Lite. Our thoughts and prayers are with Judy and the family.

Condolence: I was both shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Fred’s passing. He had been a very close friend and co-worker since the Maplebrook golf league began playing at Deer Creek Golf Course. I will miss his friendly smile and jovial conversation. I always enjoyed teasing him about littering the golf greens with his empty sunflower shells. Fred will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him at Deer Creek. My condolences to Fred’s entire family. Your family was blessed with a true treasure in Fred. May he Rest In Peace.
