Obituary for Patricia A. "Patty" Alford (Phelan)

Patricia A. "Patty" Alford (Phelan)
Patricia A. "Patty" Alford, nee Phelan, age 60, beloved wife for 22 years to Scott Alford. Loving mother of Niki, Jennifer and Scott II (Lauren). Cherished grandmother of Raven, Noah, Kylie, SJ and Lucas. Dear sister of Mary Ellen (Dennis) Weber, Edward (Susan) Phelan and the late Joseph (Jean) Phelan. Fond step-sister of Alan Linhart. Much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Patty was preceded in death by her mother Gloria Phelan Linhart, father Joseph Phelan, stepfather “Bud“ Linhart and her brother Joe.

Patty was dedicated to supporting and caring for others. Her abundance of love surrounded everyone that had the good fortune to meet her. For 17 years she spent countless hours at Illinois Masonic Medical Center controlling the heart-lung machine. She helped thousands of people live through open heart surgery. After medicine she spent many years guiding people through the difficult paths of buying and selling a home. She enjoyed all her friends at Coldwell Banker real estate – Orland and Tinley park.

For the last 22 years she was my devoted wife and mom to Niki, Jenny, and Scotty. She loved them with all her heart. She was always there to help guide them. With more time she would have completely spoiled our beautiful grandchildren; Raven, Noah, Kylie, SJ, and Lucas. She loved them dearly! Patty unquestionably loved her nieces, Kim and Kristen, her nephews, Dennis, Tony, and Ryan, and their wonderful children.

Although she found her work life rewarding, for many years she dedicated her energy to taking care of her mother, Gloria, seeing to her needs day and night. She couldn’t have done so without the love and support of her dearest friends; Shelly, Ella, Annette, and Sanette. Thank you all!

Please remember her as the fun-loving, caring, vibrant person that we all have loved.
