Janet K. Ross, nee Damstra, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2018 at her home in Marco Island, FL. Beloved wife of the late James Ross (1997). Devoted daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (nee Beukema) Damstra. Loving twin sister of Edward (Lois) Damstra. Cherished aunt of Debra (Randall) Vander Velde, Edward (Kellie) Damstra and Denise (Paul) Hoekstra. Fond great aunt of eight and great-great aunt of seven. Dearest friend and companion of Earle Olson. Much loved cousin and friend of many.

Janet was born in Chicago on January 7, 1942 along with her twin brother Edward. She married James Ross in 1982 and moved to Winder, GA where they were owners of a florist shop for six years. They then moved to Marco Island in 1988 where Janet worked and managed the Cricket Shop for over 20 years. When she retired from there, she worked at Marco Island City Hall as a receptionist for several years. Janet also spent many summers in Leelanau, MI at her cousin's ranch and worked many hours at their family winery.

She was a member of the Marco Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world during her lifetime with many of her friends. Jan had so many friends in Marco and all over.

Visitation Friday, March 16, 2018, 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, March 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (Wheeler Dr./155th & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South.
